Feeding Your Bonsai
Knowing when and how much to fertilize a tree is very important. Information on this topic is covered well in our Bonsai booklet. As a rule of thumb, you should fertilize during the growing season of yur bonsai, usually spring, summer, and early fall. Use a house plant fertilizer or tree food. This should be dissolved and diluted in water to 1/2 to 1/4 of the recommended amount. We carry mixes of soils and fertilizers that have worked superbly for us. Furthermore, these fertilizers are expecially designed for bonsai; therefore, reducing the risks of killing or injuring your tree.
